Our bed and breakfast ‘Frankrijk-Noord’ is a farmhouse dating back to the 18th century. There is also an open coach house on the premises and some outhouses. In total, the whole complex covers an area of some 5000 square meters.
Although we are near the tiny Dutch village of Westkapelle, the atmosphere is reminiscent of France. Westkapelle itself is situated in the utmost western part of the peninsula Walcheren. Wide, open, sandy beaches are less than a kilometre from the house.
For many years we have enjoyed the French formula of ‘table & chambre d’hôte’, and have decided to put this into practice ourselves in Holland. We are both dedicated queens of the kitchen.
Your comfortable room has original details, such as a box bed. In addition you will have your own fireplace, the possibility of making use of the internet and television and of course, you will be able to make your own tea and (instant alas!) coffee. As in former times you have to go outside to make use of the sanitary facilities which are situated in a renovated bike shed.
In the privacy of the back of the garden, we built a luxurious wooden tent. An artist friend was inspired and created a small exhibition in this romantic garden-house for two.
